The word women, when said aloud, will make most people think of their own mother. A loving, caring warm person in your life. And as people spend the majority of their young life with the mother, most people expect all women to be exactly the same. But sadly this is not the case. Since the time of feminism Western women have changed to become much more independent and focused on their careers. The same cannot be said of Russian women though.
The mentalities of Eastern people can be likened to that of Western peoples from many years ago. This cannot be said of every single person but in general it’s true. Every individual has their own ideas but women from Russia can be found to share similar traits of personality. And it’s these things that they have in common that make them believed to be the most sensitive and feminine around.
The history of Russia shows how important their women have been. During the most difficult of times, the families and communities have been held together by the women. This is where their true character shines through. They are considered to be one of the more caring and protective people in the world today. And a lot of people agree that the most hospitable hostesses around today are none other than the Russians.
It is communism which is thought to be the main factor behind this mentality. Very strong family values are learned when brought up in a communist society. Self dedication, responsibility and helping the community are also all considered very worthy traits for a person to have. One of the greatest things a person can do in this society is to help another. Even if it’s detrimental to themselves. These things have been passed down to daughter from mother and will continue to do so.
The men from Russia have grown up with these women all their lives, and so take their loving and caring nature for granted. Many of the wives are treated very badly as the men just do not know how to treat them. In general, it is expected for women to work a full time job, prepare all the meals, take care of the children and the home all by themselves.
Western influences are increasingly finding a way into Russian culture. And as this happens, the women are beginning to see that men’s attitude to women is much better in the Western world. The stories of Russian women making comfortable and happy lives in other countries are becoming more and more common. Almost all have a friend, or a friend of a friend who is currently living abroad and could not be happier.
The women of Russia, when they hear these stories of love and romance, are starting to realise that they deserve to be treated much better than they currently are. When treated kindly and with love and affection, they quickly become the most dedicated and appreciative wives who live solely for their husbands.
